What it means

A door, the trunk or the hood is not fully closed. Driving with a door ajar is a hazard for passengers, especially children, and the interior light may stay on and drain the battery.

Check that nothing is trapped between the door and the frame.
Spray a suitable cleaner or lubricant into the latch and cycle it a few times.
If the light stays on, have the latch switch and door wiring checked at a workshop.
